New Post! Oh Boy Oh boy!

Fill In time!!!!!! YAY! Gavin turned THREE! AHHH!!!!!!!!!!! *pause while I hide under a cover!*

.
.
.
Ok I'm back. Like I said Tornado turned Three. With that comes a whole new set of activities. Mainly pre-school. It was a hard decision to make for him, bu I decided that Home Schooling him is the best answer. He can get the One-on-One attention he needs and a curriculum geared to his specific learning style. I'm pulling from a few different ones to cover what all I think he should learn at his age.

Update on the Itty. He is 5 months old! and we switched to CLOTH DIAPERS! WOO HOO! I love them. Really are a great. Do I mind the extra laundry...kinda but it keeps me from forgetting the laundry-which I tend to do.

Hubby had a shoulder surgery in May, and just went back to work a few weeks ago. Taking it one day at a time. He leaves in 10 days for San Antonio for work. He'll be gone for a week... man that's gonna suck.

and me... I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up. Still going for my Bachelors in Science and we'll go from there I guess. other than that...same lil' me.

Oh, and we got a dog.... she's loud and annoying. most days I hate her. But thats a puppy for ya! Gavin adores her so its worth it.

Ring Sling Escapades

First off I would like to say that Jan at http://www.sleepingbaby.net/ does amazing work and she has my business for any and all RingSlings I will buy in the future. Seriously if you are looking for a SAFE carrier that doesnt have a lot of bells and whistles than a Ring Sling is your cup of tea.

Anywho...
Patrick loves to be held, 24/7. I maybe get a total of an hour a day where I'm not holding or wearing him. As I type he is asleep on me. If it weren't for my Ring Sling I would have been shipped off to the looney bin a looooooong time ago!
Could I pick a better comic strip to show how Patrick is in the sling somedays? NOPE!
I was nursing him in the sling in Walmart yesterday, perfectly positioned to where no one had a clue what I was doing. I turn the corner down a crowded section and BAM there's my boob peeking out to say "HI" to everyone down the aisle. Lovely.

He's such a curious little boy, I see so much of his brother in him. IDK if I should be proud...or afraid!

Thanks to http://www.mama-is.com/ for the comic!

Dear Vacuum...

...you annoy me.

Being as I know that there are better vacuums on the market-mainly the Rainbow ♥♥♥♥- I see every flaw that you have.

I want to replace you with a Rainbow so badly... I swear if I brought one into this house and actually showed Mark the difference we would be spending money that we REALLY should be saving.

One day I will take pleasure in throwing you in the trash b/c I do not wish you on anyone.

That is all. ☺

The Tornado

Gavin is my darling. You may not understand every little word that he speaks, but I bet you'll understand, "I love you." He loves everyone and everything, except the nurse who gives shots at the doctor's office...I'm pretty sure he dislikes her. My favorite object he loves is the Ambulances, Fire Trucks, and Police cars. Something you must know is that we live in walking distance of a Fire Station so we hear them on and off all day long. When they pass by Gavin runs to the window, smile ear to ear, screaming "Woo Woo!" We watch them pass by, and wave. Then in his angelic voice, so innocent it lifts my heart to hear, he says, "Love you Woo Woo"

His birthday is fast aproaching, he'll be three and not my baby anymore. I'll cry in secret that morning, just as I have done the past two years. Then at 1:51pm I will hold him extra close and hope that when he thinks back later in life, he'll remember that time was our moment where no one could come between us. I am planning an all out birthday party with kids his age this year, and the theme...well what else but Spongebob!

Ah yes, Spongebob has taken hold of him, as well as my husband. They are in a skinny yellow choke-hold. He has Spongebob sheets, cups, toys, PJ's, DVD's, coloring books and even a recliner. I am going to make him a Spongebob Blankets for his birthday...if I can find good fabric.

Why is he a Tornado? If you ask this I'm guessing you've never spent much time around a two year old. They are small...but can destroy anything in a blink of an eye. Gavin is not an exception, as I type this every room in my house needs something of his picked up off the floor, and as soon as I pick it up another toy is waiting to claim its spot. Yes, our floor space is prime realestate!

Newb....

A term often used in gaming for the new, naive players. Well that's me, I'm a newb...but in a blogging sense. I enjoy reading them, have always thought about writing down the crazy things that happen from our day-to-day. So here it goes. I'm holding my breathe...and jumping in... Cannonball Style.

Who am I? A Wife. A Mother to two boys. Owner to one lazy cat. Driver of the mini-van. Washer of the laundry and dishes. Chef. Maid. Nurse. Entertainer. Yes that's me.

My Boys: Mark, aka hubby. Gavin, aka the Tornado. & Patrick, aka the Itty. Ages respectively are ??, 2, and newborn.

Why am I here? I find humor in what happens in our lives. I want to share it. I don't have a long term goal for this blog...just to let other in on our lives. To share our fun photos and stories with you, the reader.

Smalltown Girl/Crunchy Momma??? I live in a very small town, where everyone tends to be at the Wal-Mart during the week or the waterfront on the weekends. Sure we have other things happening but its few and far between that you find something that doesn't involve the earlier mentioned locations.
Crunchy Momma... I guess that's how I describe myself and how I tend to parent. I am a: Breastfeeding, Co-sleeping, Babywearing Momma. I like Granola too! Here in my small town its not everyday that you see/hear of parents doing any of those.

So that's a little peek into what this blog is about, dear reader. I hope I don't make a fool of myself but that's a risk I'm willing to take.
